New Property Spotlight: Autumn Edition

spotlight_autumn

There’s a lot of great property uploaded to Lettingweb in the autumn, but it can be hard to find amongst everything left behind from summer.

As we reported last week, people trying to find rental accommodation in the autumn can sometimes struggle with a lack of options. Last month, there was a quarter less property uploaded to our site than in June, and even fewer will be uploaded this month.

We’ve also seen more people looking for flats this autumn than we have in years before. That might make flat hunting a daunting prospect, so we’ve picked some of the best properties that have been uploaded to Lettingweb in the past couple of weeks.

Autumn can reveal some amazing bargains, beautiful city flats and countryside gems. So take a look below for a nice selection:

Albury Road, Aberdeen (AB11)
3 Bedroom Flat for £1400 PCM

2_400x178

We start off this week’s selection in Aberdeen, where the disparity between new flats coming onto the market and the amount of people looking for a place to live is felt most sharply.

Anyone would be lucky to settle down into this 3 bedroom flat located just minutes from Aberdeen’s city centre.

The Ferryhill and Rubislaw districts are home to some of Aberdeen’s most desirable property, and the chance to rent such a stylish and modern flat in the heart of the area rarely comes along. So this flat is a treat that’s only available this autumn.

Lumphanan, Kincardineshire (AB31)
4 Bedroom Steading for £2000 PCM

The description for this Steading located near Alford in Aberdeenshire describes the property as ‘truly stunning’, and we think that they’re right.

The property is perfect for outlasting those long autumn and winter nights: a multi-fuel stove offers warmth and comfort for the living area and wood-fired under-floor heating is in offer throughout. With heating costs included in the rent, you won’t have to worry about racking up a bill as you avoid the cold outside.

The property is based on an open plan design and has been thoughtfully renovated throughout. The black gloss kitchen units and wooden work surfaces offer a lovely counterpoint to the traditional vaulted ceilings.

It’s really a chance for a beautiful place to stay, plus you get to work out what a ‘Cathedral Bedroom’ is…

Murrayfield Avenue, Edinburgh (EH12)
4 Bedroom Town House for £1500 PCM

It’s on to a completely different type of conversion for our favourite autumnal Edinburgh property. Situated in Murrayfield (great for rugby fans, or even fans of Hearts F.C. who play down the road), the entry to this flat is that sold it to us.

Walk in through the exquisitely decorated doorway to be greeted by an imposing, sweeping staircase; fantastic for impressing your friends and neighbours.

At £1500 per month, rent for this flat is around the average for Edinburgh property in summer, but it is far superior to the average Edinburgh flat, which goes to show how much better off you can be if you take your property search away from the normal times of the year.

Drumnadrochit, Inverness (IV63)
4 Bedroom Steadings for £800 PCM

13_400x300

14_400x174

It’s not just in the city where great property for the autumn can be found. This property near the shore of Loch Ness and the wonderfully named Drumnadrochit offers some true, rural charm.

The location is what we like best. Open views across the Highlands are on offer all around the property.

It’s not just the view from this property that impresses though. With this much care and attention paid to the exterior conversion, it’s a building that you can be proud to come home to.

Crosshill, Glasgow (G42)
1 Bedroom Terrace for £450 PCM

17_399x266

18_400x175

And finally it’s time for a Glasgow bargain property to round off our selection of new flats available this autumn. Crosshill is a great residential area in Glasgow, with excellent transport links to City Centre and the West End via Crosshill Railway Station or beyond via Queens Park.

With this flat, you can rest easy knowing that you’ve saved a good £20 on the Glasgow average for summer and got a home that’s much more special than your average flat.

The flat is particularly  spacious, with a great kitchen/dining room that provides a lovely hub for the house. On top of that, there’s a warm lounge with plenty of room for entertaining and a ton of storage throughout.
