After a short break, our Property of the Week feature is back! This week’s featured property is a unique five bedroom detached villa, situated in Bieldside, one of Aberdeen’s most prestigious west end suburbs.
Situated on an elevated site, with a southerly outlook, the property enjoys a superb amount of privacy, and a flood of natural light. Entered at the front through a sweeping driveway or from a hedge bordered garden at the rear, the property sits centrally on an extensive feu extending to one third of an acre, with manicured lawns, well stocked borders and parking for numerous cars.
The decoration is a blend of neutral paintwork and statement wall coverings with a complement of laminate flooring and cream carpets. An ideal family home with versatile accommodation across two floors, and expansive outdoor space, it also has the advantage of easy access to the city centre with its wealth of amenities, the airport, and excellent schools.
Entering from the terrace at the front, there is a light and airy vestibule, thereafter into a welcoming reception hallway with entry to all the rooms on this level, and a staircase to the lower level.
The lounge is bathed in light afforded by large picture windows with south facing outlook over the terrace and gardens. A chimney breast provides a room divide, with the kitchen and dining area beyond. A window in the dining area draws in light from the rear, and the kitchen which also overlooks the garden, can also be accessed from the hallway.
The kitchen is fitted with a wide range of wall and base units with laminate worktops and splashback tiles, it has a halogen hob, electric oven, combination microwave grill, dishwasher, integral cooker hood, fridge and freezer, and a breakfast counter provides additional worktop space. There are three bedrooms on this level, one to the front with space for free standing furniture, one to the side with built in units, and one to the rear. The family bathroom with double ended bath also features a toilet and white vanity units with wash basin.
On the lower level, the hallway has an understair cupboard and entry to the remaining rooms. The master bedroom has ample space for standalone furniture. There is a second bedroom presently used as a study.
A shower room with statement wallpaper features a tiled enclosure with electric shower, wc and pedestal wash hand basin, and a side window provides light and ventilation. The good sized utility room is fitted with a range of wall and base units, it is plumbed for a washing machine, and a lobby with coat hooks and shoe rack opens to the garden on the west side. A multi purpose room, presently used as a gym with French doors that open to the driveway on the west side, completes the layout.
