Lettingweb Ultimate Property – Features
Each week we look at the best examples of property features on our site to try to determine what the Ultimate Property would look like.
We’ll find our favourite five examples of the feature on the site as shortlists then pick the winners to see the ultimate property.
And it’s the last round of properties this week before we detail the Ultimate Property next Friday. So this is the last chance for any properties to sneak into our list before the big reveal.
There were a few features that defied categorisation that popped up during our exhaustive research, so we decided to give them their own list. Here are our five favourite unique features on the site:
5. Inverleith, Edinburgh – 3 Bedrooms £2600
A Free Rugby Season Ticket
Rugby has been a popular sport in Edinburgh for a long time. Murrayfield (the home of Scottish rugby) is situated in the city’s West End. If you’re looking to be close to the action though, you can’t do much better than this flat, which has a balcony directly overlooking Heriot’s 1st XV Rugby Pitch (Edinburgh’s self-proclaimed ‘most entertaining team’).
And the views aren’t only available from the balcony; a closer look at this property reveals that at least one, and we think two, of the bedrooms look out over the pitch as well. If you’d like to watch some live rugby from the comfort of your own bed check out the property below.
And the other views aren’t too bad either: http://www.lettingweb.com/5AT3P0
4. Selkirk, Scottish Borders – 4 Bedrooms £750
A Conservatory
Beautifully appointed conservatories such as this one are surprisingly rare in lets, so there wasn’t really enough to warrant a devoted Ultimate Property list. Instead we’ve picked out our favourite conservatory on the site, which belongs to this lovely detached house in Selkirk.
Looking out onto a spacious green garden, this conservatory is a stunning space for relaxing or entertaining. The greenery growing up the house wall is a great touch as well, adding to the mix of nature and home comforts.
Not only that, but the property has a bidet as well. View it here: http://www.lettingweb.com/8BZEOT
3. Bowden, Scottish Borders – 1 Bedroom £460
A Summerhouse
Narrowly missing out on the Gardens list all those weeks ago, this house in the Scottish Borders looks out onto some stunning wilderness out the back. It’s a beautiful garden to view from the warm house or for getting lost in.
Partially hidden within the garden is a delightful summerhouse, perfect for retreating to when you need a moment alone. There’s also a greenhouse and a shed for those with a horticultural bent.

2. Milltimer, Aberdeen – 6 Bedrooms £1995
A Games Room (and a Cocktail Bar)
A six-bedroom Dwellinghouse on the outskirts of Aberdeen is always going to provide something special for its tenants, and this one is no exception. A fully stocked games room is really appealing, and this one comes with a full-size snooker table for whiling away those winter nights.
For really cold winter nights, rustle yourself up some cocktails in the house’s cocktail bar. Perfect for entertaining your friends or drinking alone in style.

1. Haddington, Lothian – 4 Bedrooms £1795
A Mill
It was always going to take something special to win this week’s property list, and we are glad that Sandys Mill in ‘historic’ Haddington got its time to shine.
This Grade A-listed 18th century mill conversion features 4.5 acres of land (including 3 orchards and fishing rights on the River Tyne), with multiple balconies for surveying your grounds and the flowing river beneath.
But it’s the use of the original mill parts that makes this house really stand out from the rest, both in display cases at the heart of the building and use of architecture. The home is a beauty that can’t be found anywhere in Scotland.
