Lettingweb ultimate property – views
Each week we look at the best examples of property features on our site to try to determine what the Ultimate Property would look like.
We’ll find our favourite five examples of the feature on the site as shortlists then pick the winners to see the ultimate property.
Scotland is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, so it’s always a pleasure to take in its sights. That’s why this week we are taking in the best views from properties across Lettingweb: the sea, mountains, cities and much more.
Check out the five best views that we’ve found on Lettingweb:
5. Whittingehame, East Lothian – 2 Bedrooms £675
The Countryside
First up on our list this week is a beautiful rural property called Luggate Lodge. Sitting in the heart of the Scottish countryside just south of East Linton, this property made the list for its vista that greets you at the foot of the garden.
Rolling farmland as far as the eye can see, with little to no sign of civilisation in sight. This is what the area is famed for, and before we turn our eye to northern Scotland’s more spectacular scenes, we wanted to appreciate the country’s beautiful, amiable south.

4. Campbell Street, Helensburgh – 3 Bedrooms £595
The Sea
It’s off to the west coast for entry number two, and a property with a conservatory to protect you from the elements as you take in a sea view to rival any other. Helensburgh sits at the opening of the Clyde, and from this flat the views stretch out across the peninsula to Rosneath and Greenock beyond.
Negotiating the land and loch takes you out into the Firth of Clyde, past the Isle of Arran and eventually into the Irish Sea proper. Alternatively, journey down the Clyde into Glasgow’s City Centre. It’s an area that invites adventuring.

3. Cresswell, Aberdeen – 4 Bedrooms £1600
The Mountain
And we’re up farther north again for the third entry in our list. In between the city of Aberdeen and the Cairngorms National park, this Steading combines the convenience of a city with the beautiful view of the mountains beyond.
Views abound from every corner of the property, from which you can take in one of Scotland’s most picturesque and dramatic areas. Snow-topped peaks lie off in the distance, and the vast garden offers plenty of opportunities to take in the idyllic countryside.

2. Bothwell Street, Glasgow – 3 Bedrooms £1995
The Cityscape
Scotland isn’t all rugged, untamed countryside. And the penultimate property we’ve picked out is a true urban gem situated right in the heart of Glasgow’s City Centre. A triplex penthouse with jaw-dropping views from every floor, the design really offers the finest cityscape views in Glasgow.
Floor-to-ceiling windows surrounding the corner lounge make for an amazing place to relax or entertain. And the south-facing balcony that leads off from the dining room is truly spectacular. We reckon even just viewing this property would be an impressive experience.

1. South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh – 2 Bedrooms £1850
The Castle
If Scotland has a most famous view, one that is recognised and appreciated worldwide, surely it is Edinburgh Castle. A true landmark, it had to be the winner of this week’s Ultimate Property article. And this apartment lives up to the view, offering a slice of style and opulence in the heart of the capital on South Charlotte Street.
It’s the balcony that gets this apartment to the top of the list, taking in views of Princes Street Gardens, Charlotte Square and the castle itself, across to the south and west. Relax and soak up one of the most beautiful cities in the world from your own haven above the hustle and bustle.
