Q1. Tell us a little about yourself, your business, and what kind of properties you handle

Coming from a stylist background into PRS has been a huge learning curve, one which I have embraced. It’s been an amazing few years building the business with my business partner Michael.

Being a more creative type, my role has naturally fallen to the marketing side of the business along with customer service, enjoying building relations with our tenant and landlord clients. I’m definitely a people person!

Our business is a reflection of ourselves, ‘The Friendly Side Of Letting’. We run a substantial portfolio of high quality residential properties, covering the west of Fife, Edinburgh and South Lanarkshire. We’ve also recently won the Best Service Provider at the Scotland Business Awards!

Q2. What made you get into the property business?

I needed a change in career!

Q3. What is your favourite property you’ve had?

Now that’s a tough one, the obvious answer would be something like our penthouse on Leith Shore, however I tend to love a lot of our properties for all different reasons. Whether it be the location, the layout, the amenities or simply because of it’s own charm. I find most properties intriguing in one way or another.

Q4. What’s the best thing about the area you operate in?

We are in the middle of everywhere! Located straight off the Forth Road Bridge on the North side, means we have great access. Pretty exciting having watched the new Queensferry Crossing develop right on our door step.

Q5. What advice would you give to someone looking for a rental property?

Be flexible to view. It’s a fast and competitive business. If you can’t view as quickly as possible and it’s a particularly popular location or type of property, don’t be surprised if it’s snapped up before you get there.

Q6. What did you do before you got into this business?

I was a stylist.

Q7. What would be a good night out in your area?

Well given that we are nicely located for Fife and Edinburgh, a good night can be absolutely anything that takes your fancy. Me personally, it would be good food, good wine and good vibes.
